Student Support
Support for Student speakers and Student presenters to attend ISCAS 2008
ISCAS 2008 will provide partial travel support for student speakers and
presenters to attend the symposium, subject to available funds. To
receive this support, the applicant must be:
1. an author of an accepted paper / poster and the presenter of the
paper / poster.
2. a Student Member of IEEE Circuits and Systems Society when submitting
the application.
3. a full-time student registered toward a Bachelors, Masters, or Ph.D.
degree in engineering or related field in a college or university when
submitting the application.
Please note that the partial financial support, if granted, may **not**
be used for conference registration fees. It may be used only for travel
expenses to attend ISCAS 2008 in Seattle, WA.
If you meet the above requirements, please submit a 1-page application
that includes:
a. the title of the paper / poster you will be presenting at ISCAS (full
title with full list of authors).
b. your IEEE Student number (for verification purpose).
c. proof of registration to attend ISCAS 2008 (registration confirmation number after you
register online for ISCAS 2008).
d. your agreement to present the same talk / poster at your local
chapter if so requested by the local chapter chair.
Please observe the strict 1-page limit. You may also attach a supporting
letter (limited to 1 page as well) from your academic advisor or IEEE
Circuits and Systems Society local chapter chair.
Applications should be submitted electronically via email to Mani Soma, manisoma@u.washington.edu, no later than March 1, 2008. Late
applications will not be processed.
